VIDEO: Bakers Given ‘Hands On’ Training with U.S. Wheat at USW Workshop in Egypt

“Bakers want to touch and smell, and when we work our hands need to be busy, so the U.S. wheat training was perfect combination of learning by doing.” That’s how Rehab Hosny, a baking consultant for Willows Egypt, described a recent workshop presented by USW and Five Star Foods.  The workshop, hosted at the Five Star flour milling facility in Suez, gave 30 bakers from various segments of the Egyptian food industry training on the advantages of using U.S. hard red spring (HRS) wheat for breads, baguettes, croissants, donuts, pizza crusts and other products.
