2025 Crop Quality Seminar Series

Industry-Wide Effort Makes 2025 Crop Quality Seminars Successful

By Catherine Miller, USW Director of Programs

As the golden fields of wheat are harvested across the United States, a new journey begins – not just for the grain, but for the people who grow it and those who rely on it around the world. The annual series of Crop Quality Seminars, organized by U.S. Wheat Associates (USW), serve as a global bridge, connecting expertise with international curiosity and demand.

Twenty-two U.S. travelers including state wheat commission leaders, university professors, cereal scientists, USW staff and farmers packed their bags with data, ideas and stories from farm. The mission? To provide timely updates to customers on the particulars of the 2025 U.S. wheat crop.

The reach was extraordinary this year, a record number of attendees USW has seen over the last five years. From October to December, USW conducted 37 seminars with 1,580 participants from 45 countries joining the conversation about U.S. wheat quality.

Each seminar provided attendees with a unique opportunity to ask questions about technical topics, milling performance and the nuances of each wheat class. The team of experts, listened, explained and built trust, turning technical data into practical solutions for local markets.

“In an era of global supply chains and digital communication, there’s still no substitute for face-to-face interaction” said Brian Liedl, USW vice president of overseas operations.
“By the end of the season, USW’s Crop Quality Seminars have done more than share knowledge. These events continue to strengthen relationships and reinforce the reputation of U.S. wheat as the world’s most reliable supply of high-quality wheat.”
