South and Southeast Asia has grown to be one of the most important export regions for U.S. wheat, with strong economies and consistent consumer demand providing good reason to be optimistic about the future. The work of U.S. Wheat Associates (USW) in places like the Philippines, a top market for U.S. wheat, continues to yield great results.

But there are developing countries and new opportunities for U.S. wheat. And there is much work to be done. As Joe Bippert, USW Regional Director in South and Southeast Asia says, South and Southeast Asia have fast-growing economies and are rapidly changing, creating changes in the way people eat and the foods that consumers choose.
